I recently got the new HTC EVO for our business, and WOW was I missing out. I had the HTC Touch Pro II running Windows Mobile 6.5, my EVO runs Android and does so much more.
From a business standpoint this phone is like a mobile office with a real web browser that supports Flash. Using the Android Marketplace I can easily download and install apps expanding the capabilities of this already great phone.
Since we live in Las Vegas we can take advantage of the HTC EVO's 4G capabilities for lighting fast download speeds when we are outside the office.
As a Web Designer it was nice to see the Mobile version of Photoshop could be downloaded. It is called Photoshop Express. It let's you crop images, change the saturation, contrast and brightness and with the EVO's 8-megapixel camera, so can take pics and edit them right on your phone before sharing them.
So I can easily keep on top of what's going on in the social networks I use TweetDeck. This app (also available for Desktops) aggregates your feeds from FaceBook accounts and Twitter accounts (more than one if you have them) and you can send updates right from the app. Combine this with TwitPic and TwitVid for uploading pictures and video to your Twitter account, you can stay connected with your followers while you are on the go.
I could simply go on forever about this phone. The first night I got it I burned through the battery in a few hours. So if you are looking for an iPhone alternative I recommend the HTC EVO (...and I don't make a dime on this endorsement, I just love the phone.)
