A friend of ours knew my wife was into gardening, so she introduced us to a friend of hers, Rosalind Brooks, head of the Tonopah Gardens Community Garden Project. As soon as we saw what Roz (to her friends) was doing and the unprofessional look of her current website, we, Graphic Web Design, decided to donate our services to help her cause.
Like many non-profits money is always tight, previously a friend of theirs made their current website, and it just didn't do their organization justice. We came up with a design using their current logo that is clean and professional looking.
Having a professional website is essential for any non-profit as it is almost always a visitor's first impression. If the non-profit is looking for donations then a professional website gives the contributor confidence in their decision to support the organization.
We were happy to do this for Roz as we ourselves are converting our entire backyard to growing food. Most people don't realize the impact of growing your own food has on the health of your family and the environment. This is one of the things the Tonopah Community Garden looks to teach people. Learning how to grow food in our harsh desert climate is no easy task but it is possible.

We will post an update once the site is launched. We have included a snapshot of the overall look to give you a taste of what's to come. |
